Drake University is a private comprehensive university dedicated to quality teaching. It is located in Des Moines, Iowa, an insurance and financial services center with a metropolitan population of over 500,000. Des Moines is a progressive community with an outstanding public school system and a variety of social, cultural, and recreational activities. Founded in 1881, Drake University has been on the approved list of the Higher Learning Commission since 1913 and the university was recently reaccredited. The College of Business and Public Administration is fully accredited by the AACSB with 45 fulltime faculty members. The College has over 1000 undergraduate students and graduate programs leading to the Master of Business Administration, Master of Financial Management, Master of Accounting, and Master of Public Administration degrees.
