About the Position
A full-time, tenure track position in Marketing at the Assistant or Associate Professor level is available, with an anticipated start date of September 2027. Responsibilities include teaching courses like Market Research, Consumer Behavior, Principles of Marketing and advanced electives at the undergraduate or MBA levels. Scholarship expectations include publishing in high-tier marketing journals. Additional responsibilities include contributing to student and program success through service commensurate with rank.

Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or ABD at time of application in Marketing, or in Business/Management with a concentration in Marketing, from an AACSB-accredited institution. If ABD, all degree requirements must be completed by June 15th of the first year of employment (e.g., June 15, 2028).
Evidence of, or clear potential for, publication in top-tier, peer-reviewed marketing journals.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching, or strong evidence of teaching effectiveness, at the college level
Ability to effectively teach and engage an increasingly diverse student population.
Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills.
For appointment at the Associate Professor level (tenure track), demonstrated significant research and evidence of successful teaching commensurate with standards for promotion to Associate Professor in the Department, College, and University.

Preferred Qualifications
Professional experience in the marketing field.
Experience publishing in top-tier, peer-reviewed marketing journals.
Experience creating a student-centered learning environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive, inclusive academic community aligned with the department mission of inclusive excellence in marketing education and Western Washington University’s values.

Salary
The starting salary range for assistant professor appointment, tenure-track is generally between $130,000-$135,000, with placement within the position’s salary range being based on qualifications and professional experience. The entire salary range for the assistant professor position is $130,000-$157,000, with the upper end of the salary range typically being achieved through collectively bargained salary adjustments. 

The starting salary range for associate professor appointment, tenure-track is generally between $143,000-$148,000. The entire salary range for the associate professor position is $143,000-$172,000. 

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the entire salary ranges provided above reflect the anticipated full salary range in the position at the given rank, with progression in ranks occurring as outlined in the University’s tenure and promotion process, per the collective bargaining agreement.

Relocation assistance may be available per University guidelines. Salary and Start-up funds are to be determined upon being offered the position.
