Description
Oxford College of Emory University invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology to begin August 1, 2025. This is one-year, benefits-eligible position. Teaching responsibilities include three in-person courses per semester, including multiple sections of "Introduction to Psychobiology and Cognition" and "Introduction to Statistical Inference". The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to offer a course in their area of specialization.Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Advanced ABD or PhD in Psychology by August 1, 2025, with competence in teaching introductory psychology and introductory descriptive and inferential statistics. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and the ability to communicate effectively with first- and second-year college students pursuing a variety of majors. If the successful candidate is ABD, appointment will be at the rank of Visiting Instructor.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience as the instructor of record for in-person undergraduate courses.
