Description
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for tenure-track faculty position(s). Possible ranks include Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor.
The Department seeks to attract, develop, and retain excellent faculty members with strong records and future promise. The Department seeks to fill a tenure-track position in any area of computer science, with computer vision, software systems for robotics, and quantum computing being of particular interest. In addition, outstanding candidates in other areas of computer science and engineering may be reviewed.
The Department offers Ph.D., MS, and undergraduate degrees. Duties include research, teaching, and service. Tenured and tenure track faculty members are expected to excel in classroom teaching, lead highly visible research projects that attract substantial external funding, advise graduate students, and serve the profession and the University. Requirements
Qualifications:
Candidates at the entry level must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. degree or have completed all but dissertation in computer science or a related discipline with degree expected by August 1, 2026. Candidates at the advanced assistant, associate, or full professor level must have a Ph.D. in computer science or a related discipline.
