Description
DescriptionThe position of Assistant Lecturer/Assistant Professor of Practice in the School of Education. This is a non-tenure track, term position with particular emphasis on Organizational Learning, Innovation, and Development classes.
The target salary offer for this position is $3750.00 monthly. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. Actual salary for part-time appointment's will be prorated based on the percentage FTE of the appointment.

Examples of Duties
Teach students in the Bachelor of Science in Education and the Master of Science in Education degree programs on the Carbondale, Illinois campus and online.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants for the Assistant Lecturer rank must have completed a master's degree. For those holding a doctoral degree, appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice.
- Experience teaching at the postsecondary level, such as within a 2-year and 4-year college, military, or in business and industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in applying workforce education, adult learning, and/or human resource development principles in business and industry.
- Experience advising college students and completing administrative duties for university programs is preferred.
