The Department of Political Science and Public Administration (PSPA) seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position in public administration and policy to begin August 2026. Candidates should have primary research and teaching interests in public administration and policy with particular consideration given to well-qualified candidates specializing in public policy and program evaluation. Particular consideration will also be given to candidates with interest in rural and agricultural policy. A Ph.D. degree in public administration, public policy, or related fields is required at the time of appointment.
Mississippi State University is a public, land grant, doctoral university with an enrollment of 23,000 students. The department’s degree programs include a BA and MA in Political Science, a NASPAA-accredited MPPA, and a PhD in Public Policy and Administration.
