Position Description:
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Louisville invites applications for two Term Assistant Professor teaching positions (non-tenure track), beginning in the Spring semester of 2026. These positions offer an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, student-focused department within a thriving urban research university.
Ideal candidates will hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field; demonstrate a strong grasp of the fundamentals in computer science and engineering; possess outstanding communication skills; and show a passion for making meaningful, positive contributions to students' educational experience. Research or industry experience in computer science or computer engineering is preferred, as is an under-graduate degree in one of these fields.
Because these positions are primarily teaching-focused, candidates should be prepared to teach a broad range of Computer Science and Engineering courses. These may include, but are not limited to: Python Programming, Java/OOP, Software Engineering, Computer Net-works, Computer Architecture and Organization, C/C++, Algorithms, Data Structures, Cybersecurity, Embedded Systems, Databases, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Operating Systems.
