Description
The Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics at the University of Memphis is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor of Teaching non-tenure track position, with teaching duties beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year, or as soon as the position is filled. Hiring is contingent on final budget approval. The Assistant Professor of Teaching will teach primarily at the Memphis Campus, including online though teaching at off-campus sites may be required.
Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses. Other responsibilities include, maintaining AACSB scholarly academic credentials, program leadership, monitoring the Cook Analytics & Trading Lab operations, assisting with recruitment of students and student leaders for clubs and teams along with supporting students in finance competitions, and other university activities. Further responsibilities include maintaining contact with the CFA and FPA Societies. Service on Department and College Committees is expected.

Requirements
A Ph.D. or ABD in finance is required. Research and professional engagement activities sufficient to qualify as Scholarly Academic under existing AACSB business accreditation guidelines are strongly desired.
