Position Profile
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking a work-life balance whose passion also includes challenging, motivating, and encouraging students in pursuit of their educational goals. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses and contribute actively and effectively to student growth, scholarship, community engagement, and serve on university committees.
Represented by the Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors, AAUP, full-time faculty enjoy a collegial governance system embodying the values and principles of shared governance, mutual respect, and professionalism.
Applicant Evaluative Criteria
Applicant profiles and supplementary materials will be evaluated for appointment based on the following:
All applicants must possess a doctoral degree in finance or financial economics or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited university.
Special Note: ABD candidates may be considered upon evidence of anticipated completion by June 30, 2026.
Demonstrated AASCB Scholarly Academic record of current and relevant scholarship and activities related to the field of teaching.
Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching in the field of finance or closely related discipline at a college or university.
Ideal Candidate
Demonstrated evidence of ongoing scholar activities in the field of finance or closely related discipline.
Demonstrated extensive finance industry experience at the level of manager or above.
*Candidates who possess a Doctorate or terminal degree plus at least five (5) years of full- time service in a college or university in a rank of Assistant Professor or above or its comparable equivalent may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor.

Compensation and Employee Benefits
In accordance with the Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Collective Bargaining Union Contract, compensation for this position is at the rank of Assistant Professor for 2024-2025.
