The Wabash College Chemistry Department invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Analytical Chemistry or a related field to begin July 1, 2026. We anticipate filling the position at the Assistant Professor level, but candidates at all ranks are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and research in an undergraduate liberal arts setting. Teaching responsibilities include analytical chemistry and advanced electives in their area of expertise and to contribute to first-year chemistry and all-College courses.
The Chemistry Department is ACS certified, ASBMB accredited, and has six full time faculty, instrumentation to support undergraduate research, and success in securing external grant awards (NSF, ACS-PRF, Dreyfus, among others). We have a strong culture of mentoring in teaching, which is supported institutionally by an extended new faculty orientation, faculty development workshops, and a peer mentor program. Crawfordsville is a growing and vibrant community with easy access to outdoor recreation and is a 50-minute drive west of Indianapolis.
A Ph.D. is required by start of appointment (Analytical or Experimental Physical Chemistry degrees recommended).
