The Department of Communication at the University of California, Davis invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor studying MEDIATED INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION.
The successful candidate must show promise of a strong, theoretically driven research program investigating the processes and outcomes of interpersonal communication specifically in technologically mediated contexts. Applicants must employ empirical methods consistent with the department’s quantitative behavior science orientation and that complement one or more of the methodological strengths within the department (behavioral, biological, computational). Competitive applicants will demonstrate potential to secure extramural research funding. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in interpersonal communication and related topics, including courses in their area of specialization.

This recruitment is conducted at the assistant rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant rank, regardless of the proposed appointee’s qualifications. Appointment level and salary are commensurate with experience. The expected total salary for this position is $109500 - $128200.
