The Division of Human Biology at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) is launching an Assistant or Associate Professor faculty search for a laboratory-based scientist whose work advances our understanding of human disease mechanisms that will contribute to an understanding of the biological basis of solid cancers and translation to the clinic.
The successful candidate will enter a dynamic research environment focused on understanding the biology of cancer, its molecular and pathogenic origins, and its consequences to health. Human Biology encourages taking bold risks, has forums and financial mechanisms to foster collaboration, and provides robust physical and intellectual infrastructure to foster scientific success. For consideration, applicants must have a doctoral degree (PhD, MD/PhD, or MD scientists) and a substantial record of achievement in areas that include, but are not limited to: cell autonomous and non-cell autonomous mechanisms of cancer initiation, evolution, and/or progression; genomics/systems biology; computational cancer biology; functional genomics; post-transcriptional gene regulation; novel therapeutics; and mechanisms of drug resistance.
Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch.

For consideration, applicants must have a PhD, MD/PhD, MD or foreign equivalent.

- Three confidential letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation are requested at the time of application for applicants at the Assistant Professor rank and will be requested later in the search process for Associate Professors.

Candidates may be invited for virtual interviews in December, 2025. In-person interviews will take place in January-February of 2026.
The annual base salary range for PhD researchers in this position is from $183,585 to $205,428 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank and from $205,707 to $239,585 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank.
The annual base salary range for MD physician-scientists in this position is from $226,754 to $443, 704 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank and from $255,843 to $470,340 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank.
